Ausiello let it spill that someone is headed for rehab on Desperate Housewives… any guesses on who it will be?

Doesn’t it always seem that television shows bring siblings, unknown children and the kind of parents you are so happy you don’t have in real life! Well, Lynette’s going to be getting a sister, whom Ausiello describes as both elegant and hard-edged. And she’s Lynette’s older sister to boot!

I am curious to know who they will get to play Lynette’s big sis… any guesses on who you think will be perfect for the role?

We knew that one of the male characters was going to die during February sweeps. Well now Ausiello has scooped up that it will be a husband of one of the Desperate Housewives that will die, at least if Marc Cherry sticks with his original plans.

Any guesses on which hubby will bite the dust?

Ack, and another one bites the dust. Good thing this show is called Desperate Housewives and not Desperate Husbands because yet another male character is going to be biting the dust this season. And you know the death will likely be of someone we either love or love to hate because Marc Cherry has it planned for February sweeps. Any thoughts on who you think the (un)lucky male will be?

Dana Delaney is in talks to be the new housewife to land on Wisteria Lane. She will be a wife with a much younger (and hot!) hubby in tow.

Delaney was apparently offered the original role of Bree Van De Kamp, but turned the role down before going onto star in NBC’s Kidnapped, which was quickly shown the door.

We will keep you posted if she lands the job! But it does sound as though it is hers if she wants it… and who wouldn’t want to be on a hit show, especially after your last one tanked?

There is a new family moving into Wisteria Lane… and apparently the wife has a history, having lived in town ten years before.

We’re hearing she gives Bree a run for her money in the uptight homemaker of the year contest. Too bad her 17-year-old daughter, Dylan, is an undercover hussy just like Danielle Van De Kamp, and her hubby is a sexy young doctor whom she may have trouble keeping up with.

Hmmm… sexy doctor? Too bad Isaiah Washington burned his ABC bridges or he might have gone out on that casting call! But it does sound very Grey’s Anatomy, does it not?

Was it just another attention seeking moment in the life of attention whore Edie on Desperate Housewives in the season finale? Looks like it might have been because Nicollette Sheridan (shown above with Terri Hatcher) is NOT leaving Desperate Housewives!

It’s not really clear if this happens before or after the preview airing on television where Zach pays off the beauty pageant judges.

Zach is just sooooo creepy!

I think this scene would have been made so much better with hubby hiding behind the doorway doing a “yessssss!” once she started feeling guilty!

Orson will be pushing Bree off of a ladder in an upcoming episode of Desperate Housewives, which will likely be used to explain why Bree is stuck in bed, as the actress who plays Bree, Marcia Cross, is now on bed rest due to her twin pregnancy. Ausiello has the scoop.

Not sure if this qualifies as big, but the little demon is going to return to his old ways when he suspects Orson of pushing Bree off a ladder. In related news, care to guess how producers plan to accommodate Marcia Cross’ mandatory bed rest?

As you may have heard, the Desperate Housewives crew is currently turning Marcia Cross’ house into Bree’s Wisteria Lane home. So this accident should be able to easily explain away her need to be in bed for the rest of the season.

Well, no sooner had we written about the fact Marc Cherry would still not be writing Marcia Cross’s pregnancy into Desperate Housweives comes word that Marcia Cross, who plays Bree Van Der Camp, has been put on bed rest. The news reportedly came last week.

So what does this mean? Production moves to the home Marcia Cross shares with her husband Tom Mahoney!

Marcia Cross is expecting twins, but isn’t due until April. However, she had still planned to tape two more episodes of the hit show before taking maternity leave. But this bed rest throws things into a tailspin with the show trying to wrap up Bree’s storyline.

While Cross is resting upstairs in bed, the Housewives team will be downstairs transforming the home she moved into just months ago into a likeness of Bree’s orderly abode. “They are painting the walls, moving in props and furniture from the set…,” says a source from the set. “They’re basically making Marcia’s house into Bree’s.”

I must say, they found a creative way to deal with the situation. Although if I was pregnant with twins, I am not sure how impressed I would be about them bringing the chaos into my homel. But I am guessing her West L.A. home is big enough it isn’t that much of a problem!

And if you were an actress, wouldn’t it be a bit weird to discover your own home now looks like your character’s home? But I would be interested to know if Marcia keeps the changes made!

Rumor has it that Marc Cherry is casting yet another love interest for Gabrielle, and this time, he must be at least 20 years her senior! Gabby hasn’t been having much luck with men lately, and since she has been there, done that with a younger man (hello lawnboy!) I guess they are trying to hit the extreme on the other end.

Just so long as there isn’t an Anna Nicole Smith-esque age difference. Ewwwww. It does remind me of that hilarious Sex & the City scene with Samantha Jones and her way older man (remember the wrinkled butt???)

Personally, I wish they’d bring lawnboy back. Just one word…. YUM.

We have a 90-second clip of the upcoming Desperate Housewives clip showing Gabby on a boring date (who takes a hot chick like Gabby to see a documentary?? Come on guys…) when she receives flowers from someone admiring her from afar. She confronts Carlos…. and I’ll let you view the rest to find out what happens. But the question remains, who is admiring Gabby, because it isn’t Carlos. But her admirer won’t be revealed for a little while yet…

I am still not sure who I want Gabby to be with… except maybe hottie lawnboy, simply for the eye candy factor!

Bree’s murdered husband, Rex Van De Camp (Steven Culp) is returning for an episode of Desperate Housewives during February sweeps. He will provide the show’s narration during that episode, which will focus on the men of Wisteria Lane.

Episodes of Desperate Housewives are normally narrated by Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong) who killed herself during the opening episode of the popular series.
