Desperate Housewives set visit up for charity auction

Want to visit Wisteria Lane? Now you can with a special charity auction being offered by Desperate Housewives.

This is the chance to visit the set of the mega hit television show Desperate Housewives. Complete with a private tour of the infamous Wisteria Lane in Universal Studios, Hollywood, the package also includes a DVD of the complete second season.

Not sure if any of the actresses will be around during the set visit, after all, some of them can be a little diva-ish! Auction ends on December 15th and you can place your bid here.

Mark Deklin joins Desperate Housewives as Gabrielle’s new boy toy

Mark Deklin, whom Justice fans will remember as Dr. Matthew Shaw, is joining the cast of ABC’s Desperate Housewives. He arrives just in time for November sweeps, and will be on tap for at least three shows.

He will play a handsome widower and will play Gabrielle’s latest love interest, but those are the only details the show is releasing at the moment. His first airdate is November 26th.

Isn’t it great when a show has great male eye candy for us ladies to enjoy?

Dixie Carter headed to Wisteria Lane on Desperate Housewives

Designing Women alum Dixie Carter has been busy filming episodes of Desperate Housewives. Carter, whose personal assistant while on Designing Women was actually none other than Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry (yes, you read that right!) has also recently appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as well as Hope & Faith.

She will portray the mother of Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) for her guest starring run on Desperate Housewives.

Eva Longoria hurt on the set of Desperate Housewives

Sexy Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria was injured on the set of the hit show on Wednesday, October 3rd.  EXTRA had the scoop on their Thursday show, which TMZ reports:

Eva’s publicist told “EXTRA” that “Eva slipped on one of the stairs coming out of her trailer. She was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank for X-rays. Nothing is broken, but her ribs are very bruised. She expects to return to work as scheduled.”

Her publicist also said that Eva still plans to travel to Paris later today. She’s headed there to see her boyfriend, NBA star Tony Parker, play in a few exhibition basketball games.

There is no word if any scenes had to be rescheduled after Eva’s injury.

Some of you may remember Eva’s previous accident on the set.  On August 17th of last year, she was injured by a falling pole on the set, and was treated in hospital for the injury.

Desperate Housewives will have a pregnancy this season, but it won’t be Bree’s

Since Marcia Cross, who portrays Desperate Housewive Bree, announced her pregnancy, there was quick talk of her pregnancy being written into the show, something that even Eva Longoria confirmed.  But looks like while season three will feature a pregnancy, it won’t be Bree who is preggers.

So who will be the pregnant housewife?  Let’s just say we should expect the unexpected.
